What is CHIROPRACTIC?
Chiropractic is a health care discipline based on the scientific premise that the body is a self-regulating, self-healing organism. These important functions are controlled by the brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves of the body.
The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure within your body (primarily the spine, and pelvis) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.
The skull protects the delicate tissues of the brain. The moving bones of the spine protect the spinal cord and nerve roots. If these nervous system pathways are impaired, malfunction of the tissue and organ function throughout the body can result.
Chiropractic also places an emphasis on nutrition and exercise, wellness and healthy lifestyle modifications.
What to Expect
At TRUE NORTH CHIROPRACTIC we aim to restore optimal spinal biomechanics and improve the function of your nervous system.
On your first visit to our office, we take the time to take a detailed case history, thus giving us a clear background regarding your health, such as surgeries, accidents, the onset of your condition, and other details affecting your current health. After reviewing your history and discussing your specific problem, a thorough orthopaedic, neurological, and chiropractic examination is performed. X-rays may be taken to uncover structural and functioning problems associated with the spinal column. These examinations help identify areas of spinal malfunction and assist us in forming a treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs.
Your following visit is an extended appointment detailing the findings of your history, physical examination and x-rays, along with your recommended care plan is presented to you. During this visit we aim to educate you regarding your condition and recommend best life style practices to improve your condition,
On you regular return visits, your spine will be continually assessed for misalignments (subluxations) and corrected through gentle adjustments. Your progress is monitored with periodical examinations and follow-up reports

Meet your Chiropractors

Dr. Shereen Yanny
Principal Chiropractor
Dr. Shereen Yanny is a 2005 RMIT graduate.
After suffering many years as a child and teenager from severe migraines, at 17 years of

Helping people through chiropractic became her passion as she has personally seen the
life changes chiropractic care can offer. Having lived in the local area for almost 30
years, Shereen established True North Chiropractic in 2015 to serve her local
community by helping individuals get out of pain and assisting them in reaching their
optimal health potentials.
As a chiropractor, Shereen’s interests lie in educating her patients with knowledge
regarding their health and body and helping people of all ages in improving their spinal
and nervous function.
She also has special interests in nutrition and natural therapies. Completing a “Food as
